Job summary

Pembina Pipeline Corporation is seeking a Corporate Applications Manager to lead Pembina’s enterprise application portfolio from Calgary. Reporting to the Business Applications Director, you will guide governance, delivery, and continuous improvement of a broad suite of corporate systems.

You will align technology strategy with business goals, manage budgets, vendors, and a skilled team to drive innovation, automation and safe, reliable operations across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Business or related discipline.
• Experience leading complex enterprise business applications and ERP platforms.
• Certifications in technology, business analysis, project management or service management are assets.

Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation is actively hiring a Corporate Applications Manager to join the team in Calgary. Reporting to the Business Applications Director within Information Services, the Manager provides strategic leadership for the governance, delivery, support, and continuous improvement of Pembina’s enterprise corporate application portfolio.

Partnering across the business, the Manager aligns technology strategy with organizational goals and leads the delivery of secure, reliable enterprise applications that enable innovation and business value.

Pembina’s Information Services team, within the Legal, People and Corporate Affairs division, delivers and supports the technology solutions that enable business operations across the organization. The team manages enterprise infrastructure, technology platforms, data security, vendor relationships, and regulatory compliance while advancing innovative digital solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and business performance.Committed to collaboration and innovation, the team leverages emerging technologies, automation, and AI-driven capabilities to modernize operations and support sustainable growth. Responsibilities:

• Champion Pembina’s Zero by Choice safety culture and Life Saving Rules by embedding physical, psychological, and cyber safety into all work practices while taking personal accountability to maintain compliance, support audit readiness, proactively identify risks, and protect our people, assets, and data;


• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of Pembina's corporate business applications portfolio while leading and developing a high-performing, collaborative, and agile team;


• Ensure stable and reliable operations through effective service management practices, resource planning and optimization opportunities;


• Develop and execute a multi-year strategy and roadmap for the corporate application portfolio aligned to business strategy;


• Partner with business and technology leaders to identify opportunities that improve business outcomes, efficiency, and employee experience;


• Manage vendor and partner relationships while overseeing operational and project budgets to ensure effective delivery and support of the application portfolio;


• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, audit and regulatory requirements;


• Oversee application lifecycle management, upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and modernization initiatives;


• Drive a culture of innovation, automation and responsible AI adoption;


• Ensure technology investments align with corporate strategy, operational priorities, and generating value for Pembina;


• Maximize value from enterprise platforms including but not limited to SAP ERP, Ariba, Concur, SuccessFactors, PowerPlan and Physical Security Systems;


• Lead application rationalization efforts to reduce complexity, eliminate duplication, manage technical debt, and lower total cost of ownership; and


• Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline;


• Experience leading complex enterprise business applications, ERP platforms, or corporate technology solutions;


• Relevant professional certifications or experience in technology, business analysis, project management, agile methodologies, or service management is considered an asset;


• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading technical teams, supervisors, consultants, vendors, and service providers;


• Proven success leading large-scale system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and transformation initiatives; and


• Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, licensing, and service delivery agreements.
