Job summary

Aviso Wealth Inc. is seeking a Corporate Actions Administrator to join our Operations team in Canada. You will handle processing and reporting of reorganizations, name changes, and other corporate actions for securities held by Aviso.

You will coordinate bulletins for Canadian and US positions, ensure accurate tax treatment, and provide excellent client service while adhering to internal controls and regulatory requirements. This is a dynamic, oneaviso culture environment.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of related work experience.
  • CSC is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze discrepancies and provide solutions.
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage fluctuating workloads.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent English; bilingual in French is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, review, and distribute Canadian and US corporate action bulletins.
  • Process corporate actions for Aviso-held securities with accuracy and within service standards.
  • Process daily entitlements and ensure correct tax treatment.
  • Set up DRIPs based on client requests.
  • Provide excellent service to clients and colleagues.
  • Keep procedure manuals updated and compliant with controls and regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings and suggest process improvements.

The Opportunity:

We’re looking to fill an opening for a Corporate Actions Administrator to join our Operations team.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Corporate Actions, the Corporate Actions Administrator is responsible for the processing and reporting of reorganizations, offers, name changes, and any other corporate actions for security positions held at Aviso.

What your day looks like:
  • Coordinate, review, and distribute all Canadian and US depository mandatory and voluntary bulletins
  • Process all mandatory and voluntary corporate actions for securities held at Aviso with exceptional accuracy and within specified service standards
  • Process all daily entitlements
  • Ensure all corporate actions are processed with appropriate US or Canadian tax treatment
  • Set client accounts up for dividend reinvestment plans (DRIPs) based on requests received
  • Provide excellent customer service to external and internal clients
  • Ensure procedure manuals are updated regularly and in adherence with internal controls and regulatory requirements
  • Actively participate in team meetings and seek ideas for process improvements
Your experience and skills:
  • Some post-secondary education (including professional development)
  • 2 years of related work experience
  • Completion of CSC is an asset
  • Application of strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze discrepancies and provide solutions
  • Ability to work independently and apply knowledge with limited guidance
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet required deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and manage fluctuating workloads
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $55,000 - $65,000CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
