Job summary

The Mason Group - Strategic Search Partners is seeking a Corporate Accountant for a 7-month contract in Richmond, BC. You will own the full accounting cycle, from AP/AR to month-end and year-end closes, with a focus on automation and process improvements.

You will report to the Director of Finance at the parent company and will contribute to profitability analysis, inventory counts and cash flow forecasting.

Qualifications

• Full cycle accounting experience up to period end close and financial statement prep.
• Experience in manufacturing or food services is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal English communications skills required.

If you like working hands‑on with ‘the business’ while reporting to an exciting parent company who is experiencing strategic growth, we have a great 7-month contract for you to consider. Our very successful mid‑size, entrepreneurial client is looking for a Corporate Accountant to cover a 7 month contract in Richmond BC.

This company is small enough for you to own the entire process, from overseeing AP & AR through to leading the month‑end and year‑end close processes. This is not a clean up project. Things are running well but there are always opportunities to bring your experience to the forefront and recommend automation to streamline processes.

You will be reporting to a Director of Finance at the Parent Co who is a HUGE lover of automation and will be looking for your ideas.

Aside from the full‑cycle accounting responsibility, you will get involved in profitability analysis, inventory counts, payroll and cash flow forecasting. A little bit of everything to add variety to the role.

This role is a great fit for someone with a few years of hands‑on, full cycle accounting experience and a passion for automation.

Requirements

• Full cycle accounting experience up to and including period end close & preparation of financial statements.
• Experience in a manufacturing or food services industry is an asset.
• Very strong written & verbal English communications skills are required.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online will be a differentiator.
• Organized, and detail oriented with a passion for communicating with stakeholders.
• Humble enough to know when to ask for help and to ask questions!
• Bright, detail oriented, able to work independently but with excellent interpersonal skills to work with this team.
