A global leader in enterprise software is seeking a Corporate Accountant in Waterloo, Canada. This role involves preparing journal entries and analyzing payroll accounts, along with mentoring junior team members. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, and the contract lasts for 18 months with a rate of 40 CAD per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries and accruals related to employee expenses.
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly variances in payroll accounts.
  • Prepare and maintain clear, accurate balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Provide detailed commentary for internal financial reports.
  • Act as subject matter expert on integration project teams.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing.

Job description

End Date : January, 2027 (18-month contract)

Rate : 40 CAD / hour

Work Schedule : Hybrid in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays; remote Mondays and Fridays

The Opportunity :

As a Corporate Accountant, you will be a key member of the corporate accounting team responsible for recording and analyzing employee-related expenses, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of account reconciliations. You'll also support integration projects and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare journal entries and accruals related to employee expenses

Analyze monthly and quarterly variances in payroll accounts

Prepare and maintain clear, accurate balance sheet account reconciliations

Provide detailed commentary for internal financial reports

Qualifications :

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite

Experience with SAP is required
