Are you an Engineering leader focused on electrical engineering who enjoys planning, coordinating, and managing resources to accomplish goals? We have a phenomenal opportunity for you to join our Core Project Development team! In this role, you will be accountable for leading a team of Electrical development engineers to develop brownfield electrical projects for Core Programs Execution teams. Core Project Development is accountable for the project development activities associated with modification, expansion, operability, reliability, and integrity of existing Enbridge Gas Transmission & Midstream (GTM) and Liquids Pipelines (LP) assets. This position will focus on a variety of Enhancement and Maintenance Capital projects.

What Will You Do
  • Supervise a team of Project Development engineers to drive innovative, fit-for-purpose development of electrical projects in support of business drivers that maintain and/or enhance switchgear, motors, VFDs, substations, communications, control, and instrumentation equipment at Enbridge facilities.

  • Provide options with analysis and recommendations to aid the business in finding the best fit-for-purpose solutions.

  • Drive strong engagement of people through meaningful individual development plans, timely and effective performance conversations, appropriate competency-based training and learning opportunities, and elimination of non-value work.

  • Ensuring Maintenance Capital (MC), Enhancement Capital (EC), and Growth budgets are optimized through fit for purpose development, collaboration, and communication with stakeholders and timely and accurate forecasting to support business decisions.

  • Drive improvements in development and estimating tools and processes to enable increased accuracy and efficiency.

  • Manage key stakeholder relationships by holding regular electrical team meetings with the Core Programs Execution and Engineering and Asset Management teams and completion of front-end engineering designs, cost estimates, schedules, and project execution strategies.

  • Oversee technical activities such as preliminary engineering activities, scope development, cost estimation, schedule development, risk assessment, and economic analysis.

Who You Are
  • Engineering degree (preferably Electrical).

  • If you reside in Canada, Professional Engineering designation is required.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in energy sector and/or development engineering.

  • Experience in design, project execution, or operations of pipeline systems and associated facilities.

  • Effective interpersonal skills which include, leadership, project management, conflict resolution and communication.

  • Working knowledge of risk management fundamentals.

  • Experience and knowledge of AACE and PMI best practices in estimating and project management is desirable.

Working Conditions
  • Office based role.

  • 20% travel to offices of customers and internal, external partners and field locations. May include international travel. Valid passport is required for travel.

Summary

Salary - $112,500/year USD to $170,000/year USD.
