Electrical Safety Coordinator & Project Development Associate

Type : Full-Time | Primarily In-Office | Occasional Site Work

Compensation : $30$36 / hour (depending on experience)

A growing and forward-thinking electrical and renewable energy firm is seeking a versatile, safety-certified professional to support both safety operations and project development efforts. Based in Lethbridge, this is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment where collaboration, initiative, and adaptability are key.

As the organization transitions into a new warehouse facility with future retail expansion in mind, this role offers the chance to influence the direction of growth during a pivotal stage.

The Opportunity

This hybrid position blends electrical safety oversight with either project development or sales support, depending on your background and interests. It's suited for someone who values flexibility in their responsibilities and wants to make a tangible impact in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Youll work directly with leadership and various teams to ensure both job site safety and project readiness are executed at a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Coordination (3040%)

  • Lead internal safety planning, auditing, and documentation efforts.
  • Maintain ongoing COR compliance and manage safety audit preparation and corrective action plans.
  • Oversee daily safety check-ins for field crews and ensure documentation is current.
  • Collaborate with the Health & Safety Committee to strengthen safety processes.
  • Serve as a key resource for safety best practices across field operations.

Project Development or Sales Support (6070%)

Your responsibilities will flex into one of two tracks based on your strengths :

Pre-Construction / Development Path

  • Support project planning and site layout preparation for electrical installations.
  • Help convert project concepts into detailed, field-ready drawings.
  • Coordinate with estimators, project managers, and field teams to ensure smooth project handoffs.
  • Assist the sales team with technical guidance, scope validation, and client walk-throughs.
  • Help develop proposals, quotes, and communicate with clients on technical matters.

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves :

  • COR Safety Auditor certification (or equivalent such as NCSO, Gold Seal).
  • Background in electrical or construction trades (hands-on experience preferred; journeyman level ideal).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-evolving environment.
  • Willingness to divide time between office-based work and site visits.

Nice-to-Haves :

  • Experience in project development or construction management.
  • Familiarity with solar or renewable energy systems.
  • CAD or drawing preparation experience.
