Job description

Core hours : Monday to Friday from 8am – 4 : 30pm PST

We value collaboration, both in-person and remotely. This position is classified as Hybrid under our Hybrid Work Program Policy, where this position is required to be onsite 3-4 days per week.

Role Summary

As a Copywriter, you will be developing and writing for a wide range of creative and cross-functional projects under the guidance of the VP of Marketing & Communications, Director of Marketing, Senior PR & Communications Manager, Marketing Manager, and Project Managers. In this role, you will bring a natural enthusiasm for organic skin care and immerse yourself in our industry-leading B2B and B2C businesses, translating our award-winning formulations into compelling narratives that resonate with our savvy global network of Spa Partners, Retail Customers, and Team Members. You will also work cross-functionally on diverse projects including product launches, customer support, new customer acquisition, and internal communications. In this role, you will be reporting to the Senior PR & Communications Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Manage storytelling and copy development for product launches, seasonal promotions, and brand campaigns to support Marketing Project Managers
  • Write compelling copy from concept to completion for product naming, packaging, marketing collateral, digital platforms, and brand campaigns
  • Collaborating with Creative Director and Graphic Designers to develop brand and / or product copy in tandem with design concepts
  • Participate and / or drive creative pitches to key stakeholders
  • Own and evolve the Eminence brand voice, ensuring consistency across all channels
  • Support the Creative Director in the ongoing development and maintenance of the Eminence Brand Book
  • Evolve and maintain the Eminence Writing Style Guide to establish brand voice guidelines
  • Develop strategic positioning and messaging frameworks that elevate our product stories and brand narrative
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team leadership on the development and evolution of Brand DNA, inclusive of but not limited to brand personas, consumer need states and audience profiles
  • Ghostwrite thought leadership articles, blog posts, and speeches for company leadership and brand ambassadors
  • Craft engaging copy for our spa partner content, including marketing toolkits and promotional materials
  • Write high-impact corporate communications, executive communications, and PR materials. Support with social media responses and escalated communications, when needed
  • Support the Senior PR & Communications Manager by providing strategic communications guidance to cross-functional teams and helping manage escalated communications needs.
  • Partner with internal teams to create effective training materials and internal communications
  • Lead creative briefing process and maintain quality control of all written content

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional copywriting experience, with significant experience in product and brand storytelling for major global or national brands
  • Proven track record developing creative concepts and compelling brand narratives
  • Bachelor’s degree English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related writing-based discipline, or job-related equivalent experience
  • Experience in professional beauty, wellness, or luxury lifestyle brands preferred
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong brand, campaign, and product storytelling and brand voice development
  • Excellent presentation, communication, strategic thinking, and creative conceptualization skills
  • Deep understanding of brand voice development and maintenance
  • Ability to translate highly scientific product features into compelling consumer benefits for different audiences with different levels of skin care knowledge
  • Strong proofreading and editing abilities, in combination with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt writing style for different channels and audiences while maintaining our signature brand voice
  • Expert knowledge of AP Style and copywriting best practices
