Job Description

L’Espace CDPQ, the largest community dedicated to venture capital in Canada, is a physical collaboration space located in downtown Montreal, at Place Ville Marie. Our environment allows investors to gather, share networks, expertise, and resources for the benefit of local companies.

The successful candidate actively contributes to internal and external events and activities, as well as the promotion of Espace CDPQ and its partner funds. They will support events and various partnership initiatives. Broadly, they collaborate with the entire outreach team to execute initiatives that support the growth of Espace CDPQ according to business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with or lead the planning and logistics of events organized by Espace CDPQ and its partner funds: workshops, conferences, AGMs, networking evenings, etc.
  • Serve as a resource person for partner funds and ensure diligent follow-up with teams and suppliers (caterers, A/V, security);
  • Design room layouts and contribute to process improvements and event offerings;
  • Oversee event execution on-site, coordinating internal and external resources to ensure smooth operations;
  • Maintain the event calendar and tracking tools;
  • Support industry monitoring of venture capital in Quebec, Canada, and globally to identify opportunities;
  • Contribute to community development strategies (partnerships, presence at events) and manage key stakeholder engagement;
  • Conduct research and analysis on various topics.
Candidate Profile

Qualifications
  • Technical or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (administration, communications, marketing, public relations, or related);
  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience;
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Comfort with IT tools;
  • Interest in economic and financial content, knowledge of venture capital industry is a plus;
  • Availability and flexibility for early mornings or evenings.
