Overview of the team and role:

GWL is seeking ambitious self-starter who will play a key role in the Treasury Operations team. GWL is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Treasury Coordinator to support day-to-day administrative functions within the treasury operations team. This role will play a vital part in ensuring smooth banking operations and providing accurate, timely support across a variety of treasury functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and manage all third-party wire and intercompany transfers for the Treasury team.
  • Be the primary online banking administrator for all corporate online banking profiles.
  • Perform daily bank account reconciliation and analysis of cash position.
  • Responsible for initiating, managing and processing various intercompany settlements.
  • Manage letters of credit and bank guarantees requirements.
  • Manages the opening and closing of all corporate bank accounts.
  • Manage the internal treasury management system.
  • Work with banking partners to identify best in class tools and processes for Treasury.
  • Provide back up and support to stakeholders in the business.
  • Actively participate in Fraud Committee meeting and provide timely feedback of best in class fraud prevention practices.

Qualifications:

  • A Finance, Business or Accounting related degree, CTP designation is an asset.
  • 2+ years of work experience in a Treasury environment is an advantage.
  • Experience with managing wire payments and preparing bank reconciliation for an organization.
  • Solid understanding of the Canadian and US payment types and structures.
  • General understanding of both Canadian and US banking systems and structure.
  • Experience using FIS Quantum, or a similar Treasury Management system is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and proven track record of reliability is required.
