Job description

As a Coordinator – Transportation (Export) you will support and guide U.S. Sales and Operations in processing orders for export. You will work closely with Wesco personnel in various areas, as well as freight forwarders. You will ensure that all internal order processes, as well as trade compliance procedures, are in accordance with Wesco policies and manuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert for handling orders for export.
  • Process export orders in Wesco’s WESNET system.
  • Ensure proper export order entry by U.S. sales locations.
  • Ensure integrity of export transaction, review parties to the transaction, confirm USPPI (US Principal Party in Interest), review products, and confirm destination.
  • Ensure proper routing of cargo in compliance with Wesco routing or according to customer routing.
  • Create commercial invoices.
  • Audit export orders regularly to ensure orders are invoiced in Wesco system in timely fashion.
  • Request freight quotes from Transportation team, as needed.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders to ensure proper handling of export shipments.
  • File EEI (Electronic Export Information) U.S. export declaration.
  • Work with Trade Compliance for HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule)/ECCN (Export Commodity Control Number).

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of international transactions and logistics:
    • 3-5 years experience with export processes (familiarity with the roles of the parties to the transaction).
    • Minimum 2 years experience in International transportation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; Outlook, Excel, Access, TEAMS, and others.
  • Detail oriented, analytical with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid working environment.
  • Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills are required in this role.
  • Knowledge of products offered by Wesco preferred.
  • Experience with Wesco ERP systems including WESNET, Mainframe or other systems preferred.
