Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shipping / receiving schedule of inbound and outbound trucks with finished products.
  • Act as main contact for emailing delivery information to our customers.
  • Main contact for our internal customer service department. Schedule and coordinate product transfers between other SSH facilities.
  • Complete in the OHM system all finished products transfers and maintain finished goods inventory accuracy.
  • Fulfill Direct to Consumer (DTC) shipments and update appropriate portal.
  • Store finished products in accordance with standard instructions.
  • Gather information in our field rate program.
  • Reduce / eliminate penalties associated with late deliveries.
  • Reduce / eliminate penalties associated with waiting times.
  • Optimize proper trailer cubing to reduce associated freight costs.
  • Maintain / improve inventory accuracy and eliminate the need for adjustments.
  • Perform other duties as designated by a supervisor or manager.
  • Observe rules and regulations such as working and health and safety.
  • Generate and update production reports as well as backlog reports.
  • Order completion reporting and follow-up.
  • Participate in improving shipping processes by discovering root causes of potential errors and recommending solutions.
  • Exhibit good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Work autonomously and with little direction in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate computer experience / knowledge with Microsoft Office and OHM.
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to work safely, take initiative, multi-task, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience / Education

Desired : College diploma, 3-5 years experience in a related role.

Required : High School Diploma, 2 years experience in a related role.

Work primarily in Shipping Office, with frequent trips to active Shipping lanes and Production areas for data collection and verification. Interact with Truck Drivers, Shippers, Production Supervisors, and Office personnel.

Example : Up to 75% travel, work is primarily sedentary in nature, frequent overnight travel and holiday and weekend hours.
