Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 1-3 years' experience in a distribution centre or packaging environment.
• 1-3 years' Skid Wrapper, Pump truck, Forklift, Raymond Reach certification and experience preferred.
• 1-3 years' experience testing and validating equipment an asset.
• 1-3 years' experience with basic CATV materials an asset.
• Exposure to Oracle Financial system an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate test equipment and motorized vehicles per established procedures.
• Use various test devices and software to determine condition and disposition.
• Process HTD Testing & Refurbishing, Order Fill, Shipping and Receiving records.
• Fulfill storefront orders for equipment.
• Process equipment returns from customers, contractors, and technicians.
• Salvage accessories and maintain units for deployment.
• Sort kit accessories and literature for the Kitting cell.
• Package and label equipment for redeployment or storage.
• Dispose of corrugate and manage waste in the work area.
• Follow 6S procedures daily.
• Participate in physical inventory counts.
• Safeguard operations and contents per security procedures.
• Contribute to team with other duties as required.

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1- Performs daily duties by following established operational procedures. This requires the knowledge and ability to operate related test equipment and motorisedmotorized vehicles that are provided by Cogeco.
• 2- Using various test devices and software. Determines condition and disposition. Identifies and assign preliminary fault information to units requiring functional repair.
• 3- Performs database and administrative procedures as required for HTD Testing & Refurbishing, Order Fill, Shipping and Receiving. Fulfills Technician and Contractor equipment orders including digital boxes, modems, digital phones and literature.
• 4- Fulfills Storefront orders for equipment.
• 5- Processes equipment returns from all sources including Customers, Contractors, and Technicians.
• 6- Salvages accessories. Maintain units within work area for deployment.
• 7- Sorts kit accessories and literature for furtherance to the Kitting work cell. Segregates damaged goods for disposal.
• 8- Packages and labels equipment for redeployment, furtherance or storage.
• 9- Disposes of corrugate and empties the work station garbage bins.
• 10- Responsible to comply with daily 6S procedures.
• 11- Participates in physical inventory counts.
• 12- Safeguards TDC operations and contents by complying with security procedures and protocols.
• 13- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related job tasks, projects and/or other duties as required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

ACADEMIC TRAINING

High School diploma required

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 1-3 years' previous experience in a distribution centre and /or packaging environment required
• 1-3 years previous Skid Wrapper, Pump truck, Forklift, Raymond Reach certification and experience is preferred
• 1-3 years' experience testing and validating equipment is an asset
• 1-3 years' experience of Basic CATV materials is an asset
• Exposure to Oracle Financial system is an asset

• Demonstrates a working knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel).Knowledge of WHMIS and MSDS experience.
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND VISUAL ACUITY

• Must lift and move heavy packages and equipment regularly. (up to 50 pounds).
