AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Community Safety & Well Being, the Coordinator will be responsible for on-site engagement, coordination, data collection, and risk identification at encampment sites across Brampton. While encampments will be a primary area of focus, the incumbent will also support other emerging community safety and well-being matters as they arise, ensuring a proactive and coordinated response to evolving municipal priorities. The Coordinator will work closely with multiple partners to facilitate effective responses at encampment sites and other community safety initiatives. This includes identifying risks, mitigating potential issues, coordinating restoration efforts, supporting data-driven decision-making, and representing, actively participating, and occasionally leading operational or strategic meetings about encampment sites or related emerging issues. The role will also require after-hours availability as necessary to address urgent matters.
