Position: Coordinator, Social Media (Vancouver Warriors)

Department: Social Media

Reports to: Manager, Social Media

Position Summary

The Coordinator, Social Media is responsible for leading and executing the Vancouver Warriors' social media strategy to drive growth and engagement across all digital platforms, while also supporting Rogers Arena channels. This role oversees day-to-day coverage, including mobile, photo, video, and written content across social media and vancouverwarriors.com.

As part of Canucks Sports & Entertainment’s (CSE) social media team, this position is based out of our downtown Vancouver office, with travel required for team practices, games, and events.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

(Other duties may be assigned as required)

  • Drive strategic growth of social following and engagement across all Vancouver Warriors digital platforms
  • Own and manage the Warriors' social media and content calendars, collaborating with content producers, editorial writers, and on-camera hosts to ideate, brief, and publish content pieces to social media and vancouverwarriors.com using the content management system
  • Lead cross-functional editorial planning with Lacrosse Operations, Content, Marketing, and Communications to align storytelling with organizational and campaign goals
  • Cover and report on all Vancouver Warriors games and practices, posting timely updates across digital platforms
  • Create social content that connects the Warriors brand with current events, pop culture, and trending topics in a way that resonates with fans and aligns with brand tone
  • Support the Partnerships team by delivering and posting partner-related content
  • Stay connected to the Warriors' fanbase, the NLL, and broader lacrosse community to help guide relevant content and conversation
  • Oversee Rogers Arena social media and content calendars, supporting day-to-day posting and event coverage
  • Provide regular reporting and insights on content performance, engagement, and growth strategy
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of industry trends and monitor potential social media tools, influencers and third parties that will help enhance department and organizational goals

Required Experience And Qualifications

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field such as Marketing, Communications or Journalism
  • At least 1-2 years of related work experience in social media and/or communications
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Creative thinker and ability to read and react to situations
  • Strong familiarity with the Vancouver Warriors, National Lacrosse League, and/or lacrosse
  • Experience with Photoshop and familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite programs, including Lightroom and Premiere
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks under tight deadlines and work odd and unpredictable hours

  • Onsite role based out of our office in downtown Vancouver with travel as required
