Role Overview
Reporting to the Director, Signature and Special Events, the Coordinator, Signature Events will be responsible for logistics coordination. The Coordinator will support the Signature Events team in achieving revenue and participation goals. The role involves managing and leading logistics, ticket sales, silent auction, and other revenue-generating activities for the Pump Couture Fashion Show and other events.
The Coordinator will be the frontline contact for Diabetes Canada and will be required to:
- Lead six (6) Pump Couture Fashion Shows across Canada
- Support models throughout the event timeline
- Collaborate with committee members to secure auction items
- Manage online auctions, ticket sales, procurement, fulfillment, and stewardship
- Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and participants
- Provide administrative support to the portfolio
- Support marketing efforts by working with the marketing team
- Ensure business practices are followed across teams
- Assist in organizing fundraising events
- Manage Diabetes Canada's regional social media platforms
Location
1300 – 522 University Ave., Toronto, Ontario. Hybrid work policy allowing remote work and attendance at in-person events as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Generation Support
- Support the team in meeting fundraising goals through various events and programs
- Identify and maximize revenue opportunities such as ticket sales, auctions, raffles, and team events
- Engage with sponsors and participants for solicitation and follow-up
- Coordinate six Pump Couture Fashion Shows across the country
- Seek growth and innovative revenue opportunities
Event Support
- Lead the execution of events, managing volunteers, vendors, and models
- Develop and implement plans for local Signature Events
- Support marketing strategies for events and partnerships
- Execute marketing plans including social media, signage, and presentations
- Identify potential sponsors and partnership opportunities
- Handle event administration, database management, and financial reconciliation
- Prepare impact reports and event summaries
- Manage inventory of event supplies
Candidate Profile
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of experience in fundraising, event coordination, sales, or marketing
- Experience working with volunteers and organizing events
- Proficiency with email marketing, social media, and tools like Canva
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Flexible, responsive, and collaborative
- Proficient in digital technology and social media
