Job Overview:

RWJBH is seeking a dedicated Stroke Coordinator, a registered nurse (RN), for our Comprehensive Stroke Center at the New Brunswick campus.

The Stroke Coordinator will oversee and coordinate patient care, ensure compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) and other standards, develop and implement stroke care policies, and provide educational opportunities to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • BSN
  • Experience in Stroke/Neuro/Epilepsy

Preferred:

  • Stroke experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to collaborate with healthcare and administrative teams

Certifications and Licenses:

  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Active New Jersey RN license

Scheduling:

  • Day shift, Monday to Friday, Full-time

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor clinical and process metrics
  • Participate in performance improvement projects
  • Facilitate patient safety activities
  • Contribute to quality and safety targets
  • Coordinate quality committee meetings
  • Handle clinical data requests
  • Report variances
  • Develop and revise policies and order sets
  • Support certification and review processes
  • Provide education on quality and compliance
  • Collaborate across disciplines to achieve goals
