Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) to join the Oak Care Centre Long Term Care Administration team in Vancouver, BC, as a Resident Care Coordinator. Apply today to become part of our team!

Responsibilities include:
  1. Providing leadership and guidance to staff and coordinating resident care activities within a clinical expertise area.
  2. Ensuring high standards of resident care by acting as a resource, supporting staff training and development, and leading the interdisciplinary team.
  3. Assisting the Manager/Clinical Services Coordinator with administrative tasks and resource management.
  4. Collaborating with team members, educational resources, and healthcare professionals to promote excellence in resident and family-centered care, education, and research.
Qualifications:
  • Current registration as an RN or RPN with the British Columbia College of Nursing and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • At least three years of recent, relevant clinical experience.
  • One year of administrative or supervisory experience.
  • One year of clinical teaching or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices within a resident/family-centered care model.
  • Knowledge of BCCNM standards and evidence-based nursing practices.
  • Ability to lead, supervise, and work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with clinical techniques and computer systems.
