Purpose:

The Recruitment Coordinator supports the full-cycle recruitment process by managing the administrative tasks and coordinating recruitment activities. This role ensures that all recruitment activities run efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with the Messer’s hiring goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and post job openings on internal and external job boards, ensuring accuracy and alignment with job requirements
  • Serve as the first point of contact for hiring managers; create and manage job requisitions in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Source and screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates based on job criteria
  • Assist in reviewing candidate profiles and shortlisting applicants in collaboration with recruiters and hiring managers
  • Support with initial phone or virtual interviews to assess candidate fit and alignment with role expectations
  • Lead the background check process, including coordinating with third-party vendors and supporting candidates through completion
  • Collaborate with recruiters and the HR team to develop and improve recruitment strategies, workflows, and best practices
  • Support and participate in job fairs, campus recruitment, and employer branding initiatives to attract top talent as needed
  • Track, maintain, and report on key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and candidate pipeline status
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned

What it takes:

  • College diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in recruitment, HR, or administrative support role
  • Bilingual (French and English) required, written & spoken
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when dealing with confidential information
