What Will You Do

Reporting to the General Manager, Real Estate Development, the Coordinator, Real Estate Development will coordinate project activities related to planning, development, marketing, and leasing. They will support the Real Estate Development team in delivering its mandate and business objectives strategically and organized. The Coordinator will oversee operations, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met for specific tasks and projects.

As part of the YYC Real Estate Development and Leasing team, we are energized by shaping spaces and creating vibrant environments. Our focus includes leasing existing spaces and developing new properties that meet community needs and exceed expectations. We identify prime sites, initiate projects, and ensure alignment with goals, timelines, and budgets. Our leasing strategy involves connecting with prospective tenants, negotiating lease terms, and filling spaces with energy and purpose. We collaborate with a talented team to enhance the value and appeal of each property.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, development, execution, and coordination of real estate projects, including:
    • Coordinating reports, studies, and data for plans, approvals, sales, and leases.
    • Managing project data, stakeholders, and schedules.
    • Updating project data in Oracle, Procore, and other software.
    • Supporting project setup and managing specific scopes or elements.
    • Tracking budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Support advocacy initiatives with government stakeholders and the real estate community.
  • Interface with consultants and stakeholders, providing proposals and solutions.
  • Support marketing efforts for lands for lease at YYC and YBW, including creating awareness, managing media, organizing trade shows, identifying opportunities, and managing campaigns and budgets.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to tenants, supporting the leasing team, managing tenant communications, and resolving issues related to development and real estate.
Qualifications
  • Ability to gain and maintain a RAIC certification.
  • Post-secondary education in real estate, business, or relevant fields; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in real estate development.
  • Support for complex policy, land, and real estate tasks.
  • Knowledge of urban planning, civil engineering, and construction principles.
  • Experience in real estate marketing.
  • Project management skills across multiple projects.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Assets
  • Experience in industrial/commercial real estate development.
  • Experience in airport or aviation environments.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud.
