About Us

Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.

The Role

You will work alongside leaders and stakeholders to achieve world-class performance in operations and maintenance through implementation of an operational reliability program. This will be done by coaching, coordinating and mentoring at all levels of the site to ensure key performance indicators (KPI’s) meet targeted objectives. You will lead the implementation of a site Master Plan, communicate progress and challenges to the site steering team, develop and execute change management tactics, and recommend strategic changes based on observations and data.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with site leaders to develop and manage Operational Reliability master plan
  • Assist in setting KPI targets, and monitor their progress
  • Work with communications specialist and change management to communicate progress
  • Develop an itinerary and meeting cadence for regular meetings with focus teams specific to process
  • Communicate progress and challenges to steering team through regular meetings
  • Mentor and coach all levels of site during both implementation and operational/continual improvement phases of program

Required:

  • Journeyperson trade certificate or engineering/technologist background or;
  • Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical, maintenance or operations area
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance, operations or in an industrial setting
  • Previous supervisory and/or long-range planning experience
  • Work an irregular schedule, Monday to Thursday, and commute to site by aircraft

Recommended:

  • CMRP and/or MMP designation
  • Knowledge of Change Management Process
