The school invites applications for the following position:

Coordinator of orthopedagogical services - Elementary school (replacement position)

Reports to: Director of Elementary School

Status: Full Time

Start Date: August 2025 (as soon as possible)

Job Purpose:

This position includes administrative responsibilities. The Coordinator of Orthopedagogical services leads the academic resource department

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Supervise, support and guide the team of orthopedagogues to ensure consistency in intervention practices
  • Develop, with team members, common approaches and tools for screening, intervention, and follow-up of students
  • Plan and facilitate regular coordination meetings of professional development and consultation
  • Promote a culture of collaboration among special education teachers, classroom teachers, specialists and other school stakeholders
  • Manage case distribution and organize team members’ schedules
  • Monitor the workload and effectiveness of the services provided
  • Support special education teachers in data analysis, the development of intervention plans and the evaluation of the impact of interventions
  • Facilitate the harmonization of screening tools, assessments, and forms across the school
  • Maintain close communication with teachers, specialists, parents, and other staff members to ensure comprehensive follow-up on students
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings (intervention plan meetings, consultations, etc.)
  • Ensure that parents receive clear and regular information regarding follow-ups and recommendations
  • Ensure that student records are complete, up-to-date, and confidential
  • Attend management meetings and provide relevant data for pedagogical and strategic planning.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, particularly in Orthopedagogy or special education.
  • Have a minimum of five years of similar experience;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Natural leadership skills with a high level of initiative, energy and commitment.
