About the role

Position:Coordinator, Network Engagement and Support

Position Type:Full-time, contract until March 31, 2027

Reports to:Manager, Network Development and Support

Start Date:As soon as possible

Location:Remote from home, resident in Canada

Reporting to the Manager of Network Development and Support, theCoordinator, Network Engagement and Supportplays a critical role in fostering strong relationships with trail partners and ensuring they receive timely support, resources, and information. This position contributes to the sustainability and quality of the national trail network through effective coordination, administrative support, and partner engagement activities.

The ideal candidate will bring 1-2 years of experience in coordination, program delivery, or partner support, preferably within a nonprofit or community-focused organization.

This position is open only to residents of Canada, who are eligible to work in Canada.

Key responsibilities

1. Coordination & Implementation

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with trail partners through proactive communication and responsive support.
  • Promote and support the use of Trans Canada Trail tools and resources, helping partners implement relevant materials.
  • Maintain and update national trail classification and accessibility data.
  • Liaise between internal teams and external partners to coordinate Propulso Trail User data and reporting.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for partner communications, program operations, and data management.
  • Support partners with funding applications and navigation of available resources.
  • Organize and maintain legacy partner and registration databases.
  • Communicate trail-related updates, including closures, reroutes, and mapping revisions.

2. Planning, Budgeting & Administration

  • Assist the Manager with the implementation of projects and achievement of annual plan deliverables.
  • Document project activities to support accountability on deadlines and deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of program activity and partner engagement.
  • Manage digital registration documents and file systems efficiently.

3. Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with other Trans Canada Trail teams to deliver integrated programming and services.
  • Participate in internal meetings and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the development and engagement of the trail network.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate programs or services in a partner-facing setting.
  • Proven success in relationship-building across diverse teams and organizations.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce or other CRM/data platforms is an asset.
  • Flexibility with travel and work hours as needed.
  • Passion for trails, community development, and outdoor experiences.
Desired experience and qualifications
  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in coordination, partner support or program delivery.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
Compensation package

We offer a compensation package that includes:

  • Hiring salary of $58,000 per year
  • Flexible work location (within Canada) and hours of work
  • Generous paid vacation, holidays and sick leave
