Job description

Your Opportunity:

Reporting to a Manager in Furnishings & Equipment, Capital Projects, the Logistics Technician/Installation Coordinator (IC) is responsible for activities supporting the planning, receiving coordination, expediting, marshaling, and deployment of Furnishings and Equipment (F&E) for various capital projects and provincial initiatives. This is a full-time position.

The IC supports the F&E Project Team under a Team Lead to develop delivery and installation plans, schedules, ensure accuracy of installation codes, and track/report F&E items for all projects and initiatives.

The IC must have excellent communication skills, interact with staff, contractors, vendors, and manage delivery schedules, receiving, relocation, unpacking, and assembly of furnishings and equipment. They interpret design drawings, tender documents, technical data sheets, room data sheets, and shop drawings.

Responsibilities include coordinating clinical/operational/safety inspections, scheduling/moving furnishings, and tracking/tagging all F&E items.

As a Coordinator II, you will require advanced skills to support complex projects within a department or business unit.

Locations & Classification: Acute Care Alberta, Primary Care Alberta, Recovery Alberta, Coordinator II, Union: AUPE GSS, Location: Southport Tower, Hybrid work eligible.

Details: FTE 1.00, Posting End Date: 06-MAY-2025, Available from 26-MAY-2025, 7.75 hours/day, shifts every 2 weeks, dayshift, weekends off, Salary: $31.21 - $42.13/hr, Vehicle required.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent.
- 1-3 years hospital or similar clinical experience.
- Knowledge of clinical practices, medical terminology, MS Excel, design drawings, engineering specs, and construction practices.
- Ability to work with clinical/non-clinical staff, vendors, management, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to lift/move objects up to 30kg.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Safety training for construction sites and PPE.
- Willingness to travel across healthcare projects.
- Journeyman status and experience in project coordination in construction or manufacturing are assets.
