PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Be the backbone of the Health Services team! The Coordinator Health Services ensures flawless organization of medical assessments, employee health programs, and administrative tasks while safeguarding sensitive information. From coordinating vital health exams to streamlining data and responding to inquiries, you’ll play a key role in keeping employees fit, informed, and ready to thrive.

This is an 18 month fixed term role.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Deliver responsive and timely customer service for administrative inquiries and processes related to the Fitness to Work Policy and Procedure, the Periodic Medical Program, Employment Program, Medical Monitoring, and other Health Services initiatives, in collaboration with managers, supervisors, HR, employees, and healthcare providers
  • Respond promptly to written and verbal inquiries via telephone or email, and prepare professional correspondence in various formats (e.g., file notes, letters, and reports) for employees, treatment providers and business
  • Ensure accurate compilation, maintenance, and confidentiality of electronic and hard copy occupational health information received within Health Services, while reconciling invoices in adherence to internal financial policies and procedures
  • Coordinate, prepare, and track documentation related to internal programs, including medical follow-up information, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Maintain detailed records and data entry in the systems for occupational health information, adhering to established protocols and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Scan and index medical documents using appropriate metadata in the electronic data management system, achieving the highest level of accuracy and consistency in accordance with established protocols
  • Partner with team members to improve communication efficiency, tackle administrative process or service-related issues, and raise partner concerns to the Manager, Health Services Programs if necessary
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma with a preference for Medical Office Administration certification
  • 1 year experience in medical office administrative / clerical duties
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to interact with employees across Canada with a preference for proficiency in French

Management Conductor Program

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
