Elk Valley Resources is seeking a Coordinator, Health and Safety to oversee safety programs at our site in Hinton, Alberta. The successful candidate will enhance health and safety performance while collaborating with site departments and contractors. About the role:
Reporting to the Superintendent, Closure, the Coordinator, Health and Safety is responsible for the administration and coordination of site health and safety programs. This position will be focused on ensuring Health and Safety of employees and contractors.
To be successful, we require someone who can multitask, stay organized, and support multiple scopes within a fast-paced team environment. The successful individual is self-motivated and possesses strong attention to detail, problem solving, and decision-making abilities. This role involves collaborating with contractors and stakeholders on safety initiatives and programs, thus a flexible attitude, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital for success.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive and enhance health and safety performance and initiatives. You will work on an exciting and dynamic team, collaborating with site departments and EVR central safety team.
