Reporting to: Director, Events

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000

ABOUT VANCOUVER RISE FC

Vancouver Rise FC is an ambitious new professional women’s soccer team competing at the highest level. Based in Vancouver, we are committed to growing women’s sports, fostering community engagement, and delivering a first-class experience for our players, fans, and partners.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Coordinator, Events & Activations plays a key role in delivering memorable matchday and fan engagement experiences. This individual will be responsible for executing in-stadium event elements, managing third-party vendors and matchday talent, activating sponsorship elements, and overseeing the game-day entertainment environment — including mascots and fan-facing performers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Matchday & Event Presentation

  • Create and manage the official matchday script in coordination with marketing and operations teams.
  • Execute in-game entertainment and activations, including halftime shows, contests, giveaways, and ceremonial moments.
  • Coordinate with PA announcer, DJ, anthem singers, and other talent to ensure flawless execution of all scripted elements.
  • Manage and direct the club mascot, ensuring alignment with club voice and fan engagement strategies.
  • Ensure on-brand, professional entertainment throughout the fan journey — from gates opening to final whistle.
  • Assist in ideating and executing Rise FC theme nights and specialty cultural activations

Fan Engagement & Activations

  • Oversee the setup and execution of Fan Zone activations, ensuring engaging experiences for fans of all ages.
  • Collaborate with marketing and partnerships teams to execute sponsor activations and fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Serve as the on-site lead for activations and promotions, ensuring brand consistency and fan satisfaction.
  • Manage game-day staffing for activations, entertainment, and mascot operations.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Coordinate logistics and manage relationships with external vendors, including food trucks and third-party entertainers.
  • Ensure vendors and activation partners are briefed, credentialed, and aligned with safety and branding standards.
  • Collaborate with stadium operations to ensure all vendor elements are executed smoothly and safely.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years in live event production, game presentation, or sports entertainment coordination.
  • Strong experience in vendor and talent management, especially in a live event or sports setting.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to shifting priorities and live event pressures.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset.
  • Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for home matches and events.
  • Passion for professional sports, fan culture, and women’s soccer is a major asset.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for events and matchdays.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and maintain a positive and proactive attitude in fast-paced environments.

KEY CONSIDERATIONS

·Full-time position based in Vancouver, with responsibilities during matches, events, and community engagements.

·Flexibility is required to meet the demands of a startup environment, including evening and weekend availability.

·Occasional travel may be required for league meetings, community outreach, and sponsorship engagements.
