What will you do?
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement the Downtown Action Plan and support the growth of downtown businesses.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, businesses and other stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, briefings and presentations for various audiences, including City Council and the Executive Leadership Team.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify trends, best practices, and opportunities for downtown revitalization.
- Oversee funding opportunities related to the Downtown Action Plan, ensuring equitable and fair distribution of funds.
- Develop and implement strategies to address challenges and promote a vibrant and safe downtown.
- Contribute to the development of policies and initiatives that support downtown businesses and economic growth.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of downtown revitalization programs and initiatives.
- Identify and secure funding opportunities to support downtown revitalization projects.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the Economic Investment Services team and across the corporation.
Qualifications
- University degree in business administration, public administration, economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a combination of economic development, business support, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
Assets:
- Additional training in strategic management, public administration, government relations, project management, and/or change management.
- Experience coordinating large, politically sensitive, and complex projects and initiatives in a large, public or private sector environment.

Work Environment:
- This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite as per the Letter of Understanding between the City of Edmonton and Civic Service Union 52.
