London, Ontario & Occasional Travel to Other Regional Sites

The Crisis and Access Coordinator will primarily support all programs that run out of the Crisis Centre and will also provide regional secondary support to managers overseeing Crisis Programs in other locations, such as Elgin, Strathroy, and Oxford.

The Coordinator will perform duties consistent with supporting teams in delivering a psychosocial model of care to aid in client rehabilitation and community integration. Responsibilities include assisting program managers and directors with daily operations, providing supervision to staff, and supporting administrative and staffing needs.

This role is not within the bargaining unit, will not carry a client caseload, and will only perform direct service work in emergencies or to support staff members.

WHAT WE'RE OFFERING :

  • Hourly wage: $31.76 to $39.01

Initial rates; subject to grid increases as per policy.

  • Placement on the grid based on current pay, up to Level 8.
  • Work schedule: approximately 70 hours over two weeks, including days, evenings, and weekends, depending on program needs.
  • Benefits: Extended healthcare benefits after a 90-day waiting period.
  • Pension plan: Immediate enrollment in HOOPP.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE :

Support of Direct Service Team :

  • Assist managers with organizing daily staff work and program tasks.
  • Travel to program sites regularly to check in with staff and teams.
  • Build relationships to support collaboration, well-being, and a positive work environment.
  • Monitor team dynamics and address concerns in collaboration with the manager.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support staff performance reviews.
  • Serve as a resource for clinical approaches and program concerns.
  • Complete staff observations and support professional development.
  • Provide supervision and ensure effective communication within the team.
  • Support decision-making processes and emergency responses.

Operations :

  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training staff.
  • Manage scheduling, time-off, and reassignments to support program needs.
  • Oversee relief staff engagement and training, and manage relief pool staffing.
  • Review client intakes and waitlists for optimal client-staff fit.
  • Coordinate with community partners and implement program policies.
  • Oversee daily program planning and ensure service quality and inclusiveness.
  • Provide leadership backup during manager absences.
  • Support coordination of care plans with community partners.

Administrative and General Responsibilities :

  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and safety protocols.
  • Conduct file audits and quality reviews.
  • Represent the program on the EHR Committee and address documentation issues.
  • Report property concerns and liaise with community partners.
  • Handle special assignments and compile program statistics.
  • Support payroll, financial documentation, and supply orders.
  • Assist staff with IT issues as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY :

Successful candidates must have a recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check. Applicants residing in London should apply promptly for a PVSC, as processing takes approximately 2 weeks. Employment offers cannot be made without this check.

Required qualifications :

  • Post-secondary education in health, social, behavioral sciences, or related fields (Degree preferred). Original credentials required during hiring; unofficial transcripts accepted for ongoing education.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle with adequate insurance.
  • Ability to attend work regularly.
  • Minimum three years’ experience working with individuals with mental illness, addictions, or in social services.

Preferred qualifications :

  • CPR and First-Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric medications.
  • Experience managing schedules.
  • Certification with a recognized regulatory body is a plus.
