Job summary

The Canadian Cardiovascular Society is seeking a Coordinator for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to support education programming, faculty coordination, and accreditation activities.   • Maintain data integrity across CPD systems, surveys, and learning platforms.
  • Assist in webinar/online course setup, surveys, certificates, and reporting.
  • Prepare evaluation reports and dashboards for sponsors and planning teams.
  • Support marketing coordination: templated content and design assets.
  • Respond to routine inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Contribute to SOPs and workflow improvements.

Position summary

The Coordinator, Canadian Cardiovascular Society Continuing Professional Development (CPD), provides administrative and operational support for a growing portfolio of continuing professional development activities at the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS). This role supports the coordination of educational programming, assists with faculty and committee workflows, helps maintain accurate systems and records, and contributes to the timely, high-quality delivery of webinars, online learning, committee-supported initiatives, and accreditation-related activities.

The position plays a key role in strengthening internal capacity as CCS CPD continues to expand in volume, scope, and complexity, with a strong focus on process consistency, stakeholder service, and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the coordination of CPD programming from proposal development through delivery and post-program follow-up.
  • Assist with timelines, task tracking, and cross-functional workflows to help ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Provide committee support, including agenda preparation, minutes, scheduling polls, member records, and committee-related correspondence.
  • Coordinate faculty invitations, confirmations, reminders, scheduling, and related program communications.
  • Support accreditation processes, including documentation tracking, application preparation, credit notifications, and record organization for internal and external programs.
  • Help maintain data integrity across CPD systems and platforms, including survey tools, iMIS, learning platforms, tracking spreadsheets, and shared folders.
  • Support webinar and online course delivery by coordinating event/course set-up, surveys, certificates, attendee records, email communications, and post-event reporting.
  • Assist in preparing evaluation reports, dashboards, and summaries for sponsors, partners, committees, and internal planning purposes.
  • Support marketing and communications coordination, including templated content, timelines, slide preparation, and brand-aligned design assets.
  • Respond to routine learner, faculty, and partner inquiries and escalat more complex issues to the appropriate team member.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by helping refine templates, standard operating procedures, trackers, and workflow processes.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in health administration, education, event management, communications, project management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • One year of experience in continuing professional development, medical education, event coordination, or program administration (or relevant internship/co-op experience).
  • Familiarity with committee support, online learning platforms, survey tools, and content/document management systems is an asset.
  • Experience maintaining records, coordinating logistics, or supporting multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of accreditation processes, educational program workflows, or healthcare professional education is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.

Working relationships

This role works closely with CPD staff, committee chairs, faculty, communications staff, accreditation partners, finance, and other internal stakeholders at the Canadian Cardiovascular Society. The Coordinator is expected to build rapport with members and faculty while supporting operational follow-through, clarity, and consistency across activities, under the guidance of the CPD team.

Performance focus

Success in this role will be measured by timely and accurate execution of administrative tasks, responsiveness to stakeholders, strong data and document integrity, and reliable support of day-to-day CPD program operations.
