We’re looking for a permanent, full-time Coordinator, Communications who will join EPCOR’s Communications & Public Engagement team. Based at our Rossdale location in Edmonton, AB, this administrative position supports our Water Services business unit,playing a direct role in enhancing the knowledge and experience of customers and in promoting the work of Team EPCOR.
About the Role
This position provides administrative support associated with customer and employee communications, such as:
- Day-to-day tasks, from meeting organization and data entry to invoice processing
- Contributing to the execution of communication campaigns, fromdirectly engaging with customers and partners to supporting sponsorship activations
- Monitoring and using shared communication tools and platforms to ensure strong service for internal and external customers
What you’d be responsible for
- Supporting daily administrative tasks from meeting organization to ordering supplies.
- Coordinating the business’ participation in community and campaign-related events, including occasionally representing EPCOR to promote and share information about initiatives, programs and projects.
- Helping organize and execute employee events and engagement activities.
- Following process to capture, manage and report on customer interactions in the appropriate database.
- Collaborating with senior-level team members and applicable groups across EPCOR to respond to external inquiries, ensuring positive and timely interactions.
- Developing high-quality written communications for customer and employee communications.
- Coordinating email communications and the distribution of materials across Water Services sites.
- Overseeing shared communications vehicles to ensure optimal response times.
- Coordinating the receipt, tracking and payment of invoices within prescribed timelines.
- Processing and validating applications and payments for community programs.
- Supporting other communications tasks, as assigned.
- Demonstrating a high performance, high discipline, safe, accountable, focused, innovative and achievement-oriented, easy to do business with manner of working.
What’s required to be successful
- A high school diploma (Grade 12), GED, or an equivalent level of secondary education.
- Certification or formal training in Communications or a related field is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in roles involving administrative responsibilities, with demonstrated strengths in communication and organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Proven experience in coordinating logistics and executing events.
- Proficiency in managing customer records and utilizing stakeholder tracking and reporting tools, such as Borealis.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in the following applications:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
- Oracle
- SharePoint and intranet content management
- Customer databases and corporate social responsibility/relationship management platforms
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in understanding operational processes and the utility sector.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines.

Wage: starting at $33.21
- Final wage placement will be determined at the time of selection and is based on a combination of factors as outlined in the Collective Agreement may be found online.
Hours of work: 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.
- Please note: Due to the nature of the role, overtime may be required on occasion.
Work Location: Rossdale Water Treatment Plant
