The Role:
Medcan is currently recruiting for an Annual Health Assessment Coordinatorfor its Client Care Centre team in a full-time contract position.The ideal candidate is an experienced Medical Administrative professional who possesses excellent communication and client service skills and has an appreciation for attention to detail. The role is primarily responsible for preparation of the Annual Health Assessment report, variety of administrative duties, initiating, processing and following up on backlogged referrals.

The Accountabilities:
Coordinate follow up care from appointments including initiating and processing referrals, prescription renewals, administrative requests and results management
Work with Physicians and Nurses in managing client care
Prepare, edit and proof read the Annual Health Assessment reports for clients
Respond to all communications including e-mails and phone calls in a timely manner
Coordinate with other staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service
Other administrative duties as required including processing initial referrals and following up on outstanding referral
Administrative functions including chart preparation, chart pulls, faxing, scanning and mailing of results to patients and to facilities
Answering Switchboard line
There is no face-to-face patient contact in this role; the primary interaction with patients is through the telephone or by e-mail. The role is well suited to candidates who have demonstrated the ability to thrive in a changing environment, have excellent organizational skills, an ability to prioritize and work independently and have experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.
The Requirements:
Minimum 2 years Medical Office experience
Medical Office Administration diploma
Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills
Proficient in MS word, Excel and Outlook
Exceptional client service skills
Sound knowledge of medical terminology
Available to cover shifts on Saturday, as needed (as an asset)
This is a full-time opportunity scheduled Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4:30pm.
The position requires 3 days in office at 150 York St.
