About the Opportunity

BC 1 Call is looking for a full-time Coordinator, Administration and Marketing. This is a remote position, with travel within the Lower Mainland and occasionally across BC, and monthly in-person staff meetings.

Reporting to the Manager, Operations and Administration, you will help keep a small, collaborative team organized, informed, and running smoothly. You will provide administrative, marketing, event, and member support, working closely with the Marketing Manager and colleagues across communications, member relations, and operations.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining the CRM system and inventories of software, technology services, supplies, and organizational materials

  • Supporting invoice and expense tracking and preparing summaries, reports, charts, dashboards, and presentations

  • Coordinating printing, mailing, shipping, and document management

  • Maintaining marketing calendars, Microsoft Planner activities, project trackers, and records of media, social media, and web mentions

  • Supporting content development, including updates to presentations and webinar materials, and logistics for photography, video, and interviews

  • Coordinating and attending conferences, trade shows, webinars, and outreach events across BC, including end-to-end logistics, on-site setup, volunteer team supervision, and post-event surveys

  • Coordinating brand and event materials held in off-site storage and preparing collateral such as name badges, handouts, and promotional items

  • Supporting member relations, research and comparison studies, process documentation, stakeholder feedback collection, and special projects

  • Coordinating travel and accommodation reservations

About You

To qualify, you will need post-secondary education in business or office administration, marketing, communications, or a related field. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in office administration, marketing, events, customer service, or a comparable position is preferred.

The following are also required:

  • A valid driver's licence with a clean abstract, and your own reliable vehicle

  • Ability to travel across BC when needed

  • Availability for occasional weekend and evening event work, such as trade shows, Sunday setups, or Saturday events

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams

  • Experience with Planner, SharePoint, or similar collaboration and project-management tools

  • Knowledge of marketing tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, and WordPress

  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, data, records, and administrative systems

  • Experience coordinating event details, schedules, materials, travel, and on-site activities

  • Ability to clearly document workflows, procedures, and business processes

As our ideal candidate, you are highly organized and detail-oriented, and you communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and written. You’re comfortable juggling multiple initiatives at once, keeping tasks, timelines, and follow-ups on track, and you manage shifting priorities independently with sound judgment and discretion. Just as importantly, you bring curiosity, a strong work ethic, and a collaborative spirit to everything you do.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated self-starter who thrives on variety, takes pride in well-prepared work, and is eager to grow their responsibilities over time.
