Job Title : Research Coordinator

Position : Full-time one-year contract (possibility of renewal)

Overview : As a Research Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing research projects within MoCA Cognition. The position requires a blend of scientific expertise, project management skills, and communication abilities to coordinate research projects effectively. This is a one-year contract to replace a maternity leave, with the possibility of a permanent appointment afterward.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Project Management : The research coordinator oversees the planning, execution, and monitoring of research projects. They ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and are aligned with the company's research objectives.
  • Study Design and Coordination : Coordinate logistics for research activities from project initiation to close. This includes designing studies, protocol development, questionnaire and tool selection, risk management, and monitoring progress.
  • Participant Recruitment and Management : Aid in the screening, selection, and recruitment of participants, schedule and manage research activities, manage communication with participants throughout research process.
  • Liaison with stakeholders : Serve as the primary point of contact with collaborators in both the private and public sectors, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Data Collection and Management : Supervise the collection of clinical and laboratory data, ensuring it is accurate, complete, and properly organized for analysis. Ensure all data collection processes adhere to research protocols.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting : Assist in the preparation of research reports, presentations, manuscripts, and abstracts summarizing findings and insights.
  • Ethics and Compliance : Obtain and manage necessary approvals (e.g., Institutional Review Board (IRB)) for research projects, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Grant Writing : Oversee the writing and coordination of grants for new projects and funding opportunities.
  • Management of Junior Researchers : Provide mentorship, guidance, and supervision to junior researchers, research assistants, and interns. Regularly assess performance and provide feedback. Lead weekly science meetings.

Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., science, psychology).
  • 3+ years of previous research experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
