Job description

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Work Setting: Urban area

Tasks
  1. Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables
  2. Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
  3. Load buspans and trays
  4. Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
  5. Place dishes in storage area
  6. Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
  7. Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
  8. Keep records of the quantities of food used
  9. Package take-out food
  10. Portion and wrap foods
  11. Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
  12. Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
  13. Stock refrigerators and salad bars
  14. Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
  15. Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
  16. Handle and store cleaning products
  17. Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
  18. Remove kitchen garbage and trash
  19. Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
  20. Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
