Job summary

Hotel Victoria, part of Silver Hotel Group, is seeking cooks for a part-time position to elevate its food and beverage operation in downtown Toronto. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll assist in food preparation, ensure quality and safety, supervise kitchen activities, and help maintain cost controls while delivering exceptional

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Smart Serve Certification is required.
• Food Handling Certification is an asset.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, holidays and weekends.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Assists in directing food preparation in accordance with established standards of quality, portion control, taste, and presentation.
• Ensures compliance with Health & Safety regulations and monitors food leaving the kitchen to maintain quality and presentation.
• Supervises and prepares food for outlets and banquet functions in line with quality and service standards.
• Inspects refrigerators and storage areas to prevent spoilage and contamination and plans effective use of reusable food items.
• Conducts inventories and ensures adequate supply levels while maintaining quality standards.
• Coordinates with the Head of Department and other departments to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Reviews menus with staff and oversees food preparation, taste, temperature, and presentation.
• Ensures proper sanitation, cleanliness, dishwashing operations, and adherence to budgeted food cost controls.

Key Responsibilities
