Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents in a Canadian facility. You will cook according to standardized recipes, ensure quality and presentation, and follow dietary modifications. You will maintain a safe, clean kitchen and assist with dining service as needed.

The role is casual with as-needed hours and provincial employment standards applicable. This position supports the Sunrise mission of resident-centered care and quality of life for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator

Cook – Prepare Meals That Bring Residents Together Cook | Line Cook | Senior Living Dining Pay Range: 27.56 - 34.45 Employment Type: Casual This position is classified as a casual role. Casual employees work on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed hours and are not considered permanent employees. Employment is not guaranteed for any specific duration and may be ended at any time in accordance with applicable employment standards.
