Job summary

Schlegel Villages is seeking a Cook for the Village at Glendale Crossing in London, ON. This temporary part-time position runs 0600–1400 with a 30-hour biweekly schedule and weekend rotation. The role offers a competitive wage of $22.82 per hour per the collective agreement.

The Village at of Glendale Crossinghas an exciting opportunity for a Cook to join their team.

• Status: Temporary Part-Time
• Location: 3030 Singleton Ave, London, ON
• Position Type: Shift time: 0600-1400 Hours - 30 hours biweekly with weekend rotation schedule.

The hiring rate for this role is $22.82 per collective agreement/employee association agreement.

Successful candidates will be required to provide an acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and a Tuberculosis (TB) screening test before starting.

To be successful as our new COOK, you will:

• Be a graduate of Chef Training or Culinary Management Diploma from an accredited college
• Possess a food safety certification
• Be able to lift up to 35lbs
• Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
• Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the COOK role

It would be an asset if our new COOK has:

• Acquired a Red Seal designation
• Possesses an understanding of therapeutic diets
• Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, regulations and best practices applicable to the retirement and long-term care sector
