Role:

To prepare hot food items according to the outlet's menu, recipes, and customer requests, ensuring high quality and timely service.

Responsibilities:
  1. Know menu items, recipes, kitchen equipment, knife skills, and policies.
  2. Control operations of assigned stations and maintain sanitation.
  3. Follow recipes and proper food handling techniques, adhering to health and safety standards.
  4. Monitor and adhere to time, temperature, and Serve Safe guidelines.
  5. Report issues to the Room Chef or Sous Chef.
  6. Supervise lower-level staff in the absence of the Room Chef or Sous Chef.
  7. Ensure food quality, flavor, and consistency.
  8. Maintain sanitation and safety standards as per Hard Rock and state regulations.
  9. Work efficiently during peak times to ensure guest satisfaction.
  10. Prepare and produce food according to par levels.
  11. Work independently and as part of the culinary team.
  12. Assist in menu preparation, service, and breakdown of functions.
  13. Maintain professional appearance and work rapidly and accurately.
  14. Ensure proper stocking and cleanliness of work areas.
  15. Provide exceptional service and adhere to policies.
  16. Possess necessary tools (knives) for job tasks.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Minimum four years of high-volume cooking experience.
  3. Proficiency with kitchen tools and equipment, including good knife skills.
  4. Serve Safe certification.
  5. Ability to follow directions, recall details, and be detail-oriented.
  6. Basic math skills.
  7. Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Training:

Mandatory compliance training within 30 days of hire, including Active Shooter Awareness, Safety, Hazard Communication, Responsible Gaming, Title 31, PCI Fraud Prevention, and Sexual Harassment.
