Under the direction of the Food Service Supervisor/ Manager Nutrition and Food Services, the Journeyman Cook is responsible for the preparation, production, cooking, and presentation of food as required for the patient/client menu. Includes production for all areas (Patient Food Service, Retail, etc.) and short ordering cooking as required. The Journeyman Cook follows quantity recipes ensuring menu choices produced meet quality standards. The Journeyman Cook is responsible to maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation by consistently complying with procedures/guidelines and systems.
