Responsibilities
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all items are prepared according to recipe cards and plating guides.
- Set up stations, including utensils, equipment, and other essential items.
- Maintain high quality standards in preparing and serving all food, ensuring specifications and guarantees are met.
- Restock kitchen supplies and food items, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO), and process requisitions appropriately.
- Maintain solid knowledge of the menu and food products; apply culinary techniques with attention to presentation and preparation.
- Clean all equipment, tools, and supplies; maintain equipment in good working order following company procedures.
- Follow all company, division, and department policies; have a solid understanding of base sauces and stocks.
- Work as a team and communicate effectively with management and service staff to address guest needs.
- Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, grills, and more.
- Assist in reducing food costs and waste; label and date products for safety and sanitation.
- Collaborate with team members to exceed guest expectations.
- Perform duties according to company standards and policies; undertake additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Safe Food Handling certification.
- Knowledge of sanitation, weights and measures, and various cooking techniques.
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written); ability to read, measure, and execute recipes.
- Knowledge of equipment including slicing machines, juicers, small wares, ovens, grills, microwaves, steam kettles.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to walk distances.
- Frequently lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
- Work in a highly regulated environment; may need to be on the casino floor, exposed to noise and other environmental factors.
