Responsibilities
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for preparation of foods, including washing, peeling, and slicing.
  • Cleans work areas, and stores deliveries in their proper location.
  • Maintain solid knowledge of all food products, sanitation standards, and all policies/ procedures and is able to skillfully apply culinary techniques.
  • Operates, maintains, and cleans kitchen equipment such as deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, flat top grill, etc.
  • Assists in lowering food cost and waste, properly labels and dates all products for safekeeping and sanitation.
  • Works as a team, helping all team members to complete required activities to ensure guest expectations are exceeded.
  • Performs duties in accordance with company standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Performs additional duties as requested.
Qualifications
Experience, Education, and Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-year cooking experience.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Experience in standalone restaurant settings.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Skills
  • Knowledge of safe handling practices with knives, utensils, and hot plates.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to move throughout the kitchen (standing, walking, kneeling, bending).
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms, and ability to see clearly in various visual capacities.
  • The environment is hectic, noisy, and crowded, typical of a casino setting.
Working Conditions
  • Work may be performed in a regulated environment, with times on the Casino Floor exposed to noise and activity.
