Alberta Health Services in Radway Cont Care Centre is seeking a Cook I to prepare meals for patients and assemble menu items with limited supervision. You will follow established recipes, re-thermalize precooked products, and ensure portions meet quality and safety standards.

The role is a 0.42 FTE, temporary PT position with days and weekends shifts. Minimum wage range is posted as $26.56–$29.21 per hour, contingent on union requirements and location.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Physically capable to lift food, supplies and equipment up to 46lbs and push/pull meal carts up to 250lbs.
• Walk and stand on your feet for the duration of the shift.
• Food Sanitation and Hygiene Certificate or equivalent.

You will follow AHS guidelines for quantity and quality controls, food safety standards, and established cleaning and sanitization practices to ensure the cleanliness of cooking equipment and work areas.
