How You Will Make An Impact

The Cook / Housekeeper enhances the dignity and quality of life of our clients through menu planning, meal preparation, and food delivery services. The role involves creating a welcoming environment and adapting to the diverse needs of clients. Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing diverse menu plans catering to cultural and medical dietary needs.
  2. Cooking healthy meals according to client needs and Canada's food guide.
  3. Weekly inventory management, procurement of supplies, and handling donations.
  4. Delivering meals daily.
  5. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment following food handling and safety standards.
What You'll Bring To Our Team
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Valid G license and ability to drive Good Shepherd vehicles.
  • Experience in residential or commercial cooking.
  • Menu planning experience preferred.
  • Inventory management experience is an asset.
  • CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Commitment to anti-racist/anti-oppressive practices and alignment with Good Shepherd's mission and values.
