A community-focused organization in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Cook / Housekeeper to prepare and serve meals for up to 30 residents and maintain a welcoming environment. This role requires previous cooking experience and a commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals. 37.5 hours weekly - rotation of 7am-3pm and 9:30am-5:30pm

The Cook / Housekeeper enhances the dignity and quality of life of our clients through the assumed responsibility for food preparation and housekeeping, by ensuring the overall cleanliness and respectful appearance of the facility, maintaining adequate supplies for housekeeping and meal preparation, as well as providing nutritious meals.
Hospitality and availability is aided by providing an environment that is welcoming and hospitable to clients. The incumbent must also be able to demonstrate flexibility in the carrying out of their work in response to client and organizational needs and must be able to adapt to the changing needs of a diversity of clients accessing service.
Responsible for hospitality services including cooking and preparing 3 meals a day for up to 30 residents, meal planning, serving meals to residents, cleaning and sanitization of kitchen and appliances.
Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations, corporate and program policy.
