Join RhynoCare Staffing Solutions as a Cook in Gloucester . We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team in long-term care facilities. Your role will be vital in ensuring residents receive nutritious, delicious meals tailored to their dietary needs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and menu plans.
  • Serve meals at appropriate temperatures and times.
  • Assist with serving residents, respecting their food preferences.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage and handling.
  • Collaborate with dietary staff to develop residents' menus.
  • Assist in controlling food costs, waste, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with Public Health and Ministry of Long-Term Care standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment.
  • Support special events and catering as needed.
  • Experience working in a long-term care facility is mandatory.
  • Completion or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program as per Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act.
  • Chef / Cook Certification from a recognized college, preferably Red Seal.
  • Valid Food Handler's Certificate.
  • Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months.
