Job description

We are seeking dedicated cooks to prepare nourishing meals for our residents, ensuring the highest quality standards and an exceptional culinary experience. Collaborate closely with the Dietary Director to create menus, prepare food, and maintain strict adherence to portion control, sanitary regulations, and policies.

We offer :

  • Starting wages : $15.60 per hour
  • Hero Pay : $0.85 per hour (NEW!)

Scheduling options :

  • Day shift : 5 : 30 AM - 2 : 00 PM, rotating weekends and some holidays
  • Full-time position with no late nights

Responsibilities include :

  • Preparing meals according to guidelines and regulations
  • Coordinating food production with meal times to ensure quality and presentation
  • Assisting with tray line setup, plate assembly, and kitchen cleanliness
  • Providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive environment for residents and visitors

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of food service experience, preferably in a supervisory role within healthcare or related facilities
  • ServSafe certification (ANSI-CFP)
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and team player attitude

This is a full-time position based in Dewitt, MI, serving areas including Holt, Okemos, East Lansing, and surrounding communities.
