Job description

Minimum Requirements
  1. Cook Level 1 and 2 certification from a recognized educational institution or equivalent certification preferred
  2. Food Service Worker Certification required (or agreement to obtain certification (non sponsored) within a negotiated time frame as a condition of employment)
  3. Weekend, shift work and call-in required
  4. Must have the ability to plan and co-ordinate work assignments for the team.
  5. Professionalism and ability to exercise judgment and initiative in preparing food, delegating duties and maintaining efficient standards of operation.
  6. Two (2) years of work experience preferably in a Health Care setting preferred
  7. Demonstrated commitment to learning
  8. Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices in food preparation
  9. Demonstrated team work, initiative, and customer service skills and adaptability to a changing environment
  10. Demonstrated verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  11. Ability to perform the duties within the physical demands of the work area
