Cogir Senior Living in Newmarket, ON, is seeking a part-time Cook for casual shifts at the Alexander Muir Retirement Residence. Reporting to the Culinary Manager, you will prepare and deliver meals for residents, guests and staff, review menus, follow recipes, and ensure proper food handling.

The ideal candidate has a valid Food Handler's Certificate (Red Seal preferred), experience cooking for large groups, knowledge of provincial regulations and therapeutic diets, the ability to lift heavy

• Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate.
• Red Seal Certificate preferred.
• Experience in large quantity food preparation, preferably in a healthcare or retirement setting.
• Knowledge of Provincial Food Premises Regulation and Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating.
• Knowledge of special and therapeutic diets.
• Able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand for long periods.
• Vulnerable Sector Check (Criminal Background) required or willingness to obtain one.
• Second language proficiency is an asset.

Responsibilities
