Job summary

AgeCare in Vaughan, Canada, is seeking a Cook for our long-term care residence. You will ensure meals are prepared and served on time and maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen and dining areas.

The role includes supervising Food Services Workers, handling special diet orders, addressing resident and family concerns within authority, and collaborating with the Food Services Manager to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Cook with supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Current provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate is required.
• Public-school education minimum; high school education preferred.
• Diploma/certificate in quality food preparation and production is required or equivalent.

What You Will Need • Prior experience as a Cook preferably in a supervisory capacity. • Current provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate. • A minimum of public-school education is required.
