Civeo Premium Services Employees LP is looking for skilled and enthusiastic cooks to prepare delicious meals for our guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of cuisines and be able to work independently in a remote setting in British Columbia. The successful candidate will assist with preparing a wide variety of meats, salads, sandwiches and entrees, whilst maintaining inventory and sanitation levels. Duties will also include meal preparation, kitchen maintenance, cleaning, safety and teamwork. Reporting to the designated supervisor, the successful candidate will work 14 days, which may include days, nights, weekend shifts, and statutory holidays.

  • This role is a contract position

Key Responsibilities

  • Plans and organizes the culinary team in the preparation of food items and task assignments
  • Assist with menu ordering, inventory, and daily production planning
  • Preparation and production of menu items
  • Ensure daily production levels are met
  • Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning lists are completed
  • Ensure food quality, food safety and service standards are met and maintained daily
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures by following company Safe Work Practices and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years food service experience, preferably in a remote environment.
  • Food Safety certification valid in the province of British Columbia is required.
  • First Aid Certification is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, pull, push, and place objects away weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
